Our vision & mission

Crafting the Future of Synthetic Ice Skating

We craft paraffin-based synthetic ice that feels close to real ice and is simple to run. Our mission is to make high quality skating accessible anywhere by delivering ice-like glide without chillers or water, with upkeep you can plan, not chase.

Our vision is to set the standard for synthetic ice with predictable performance, stable edges, and an indoor-first design that also works in covered outdoor spaces when conditions are clean and dry, so clubs, venues, and training centers unlock more ice time with less complexity year round.

Technology Built for Glide

Paraffin Glide Technology

A regenerable composite surface that restores its top layer on schedule. Planned regeneration smooths micro-wear, keeps friction consistent, and protects edge hold. No panel swap cycles, just renew and skate.

Indoor-Frst Design

Best results in clean, controlled environments, which is why we focus on training zones, retail activations, and permanent venues. Covered outdoor use is possible when the area stays clean and dry, with maintenance adapted to local conditions.

Operational Simplicity

No chillers, compressors, or water required, which keeps day-to-day operation simple and predictable. Planned regeneration restores glide on schedule, and a light annual top-up per square meter maintains consistent performance across the rink.

Modular & Scalable

Modular panels scale cleanly from training lanes to multi-zone layouts, with tight seams and easy expansion. Configure footprints to fit your space today, then extend later on without disruption, keeping performance uniform as your needs grow.

Our evolution

We trace our roots to Swiss R&D from 1994, when the SkateRun project began developing paraffin based synthetic ice with a regenerable surface and dedicated maintenance method.

In 2025 we formalized the next chapter as Paraglice AG in Hünenberg to take this approach after extensive development and testing to market.

Today we advance Paraffin Glide Technology with a partnership model that formalizes know how transfer, licensing, and confidentiality to scale reliable indoor installations.
