No. Synthetic materials are not able to recreate the same friction like ice and therefore the gliding experience is always different to real ice. However, our paraffin solution is the closest to real ice you can get. Thanks to our unique paraffin formula, which was developed over the last decade, the glide closely replicates natural ice, making it suitable for hockey, figure skating, and leisure skating. Try it our on our facility and get a feel for our product. You won't be disappointed.
With proper maintenance, Paraglice panels last over 20 years, significantly longer than standard plastic rink systems. Since the paraffin can be reapplied anytime and unlimited amounts of times, the panels last almost for ever. Depending on the chosen floor frame beyond the paraffin layer the duration of the product varies, but can go easily over 20 Years. Which also makes reselling or second hand trading an attractive choice if you don't need the system anymore. Our Paraglice System has a very low loss in value over time due to the unique maintenance process.
Absolutely. The panels are UV-resistant and weatherproof, performing consistently in both indoor and outdoor settings year-round. The outdoor performance can vary depending on the pollution/contamination of the paraffin layer with external influences like dirt, debris and other substances.
No. Paraglice synthetic ice requires zero electricity for refrigeration, making it highly cost-effective and environmentally friendly. For maintenance you will need an standard electrical plug to use the maintenance tools.
Minimal. Periodic resurfacing the paraffin layer with our SkateCat machine restores the glide. No water, refrigeration, or chemical sprays are needed.

Yes. Our unique paraffin-based panels are fully recyclable and can be refurbished to restore their original glide performance, extending their lifespan and reducing environmental waste. Additionally there is no air pollution since the paraffin particles are heavy and big enough to stick on a surface level and never get mixed into air flows. No microplastic or other environmental issues. Even if some of the paraffin would reach sensitive natural areas  like water reservoirs, it can easily be filtered or does even decompose itself in nature, without harming the environment.
